Victor Hall Scholarship

The Victor Hall Scholarship is a new scholarship to be awarded to a first year student studying for a BSc in Business Administration.

Starting in September 2008 the award of £3,000 per year will go to a student who demonstrates exceptional ability and an interest in a financial career.

The Scholarship has been created by Bath alumnus Tony Hall (BSc Economics, 2001) in his father’s name.

Being a fairly recent graduate, Tony understands the financial pressure that attending university can put not only on a student but also on their family, which is why he has decided to create the Scholarship. His father, Victor, paid for his education and now Tony wants to help someone in the same way.

He is excited about the prospect of supporting an academically outstanding student, who is as interested in finance and business as he is.

Having enjoyed his time at Bath, Tony returned to London to pursue a successful career in the City.  He began to think about how he could give something back to the University and, in addition to the Scholarship, he intends to return to campus once a year to give a talk about the financial industry.

The full story is available in the BA2 Magazine (Issue 12).
