Alumni Fund grants £22,000 to special projects

The Alumni Fund exists to enhance the student experience at the University of Bath. Thousands of former graduates have given towards the fund, which last year raised £130,000. About half of the money raised is used for scholarships. The remainder is used to support projects which create opportunities for students, promote enterprise and innovation, and enhance the student experience. Decisions are made by a panel of alumni donor representatives, student representatives and staff at meetings held three times a year.

At the first meeting of 2008-09 held during the Christmas break, the panel awarded grants totalling £22,000 to eight projects.
