University of Bath nominees Aerogel, EnsiliTech, Transdermal Diagnostics, and Mechanical Engineering graduate Waleed Lattouf have all been shortlisted at the National StartUp Awards 2023 which recognises contributions of entrepreneurs and their new ventures. The awards ceremony will take place 15 June. More on this.

University of Bath company Aerogel Core Ltd has spun-out with Innovate UK funding to develop the next generation materials for the aerospace and automotive industries. Calculations predict an estimated 30-90 tonne reduction in CO2 emissions per year for a 280 aircraft fleet. More on this.

Bath ASU, a University of Bath spin-out and pharmaceutical supplier, partnered with us on a Knowledge Transfer Partnership (KTP) to extend the shelf life of medicinal products. The KTP was rated as 'Outstanding' by Innovate UK. Email partnerships@bath.ac.uk regarding KTPs.

Climate tech innovator and University of Bath start-up has secured more than GBP 3 million fundraising to advance its pioneering technology which is creating biomaterial coatings from seaweed. More on our enterprise activities.

Our newly awarded Knowledge Transfer Partnership from Innovate UK will enable us to work with specialist engineering analysis consultancy Tensys to develop its in-house software inTENS, to expand and modernise their business-critical software suite. More on this.

Workforce for the Future provides free tailored, in-depth support to help you ensure your employees have the access to the skills, training and support that your business needs to thrive. You'll receive free support from expert partners. Drop-in session taking place 19 April in South Gloucestershire.       

Knowledge Transfer Partnerships (KTPs) are funded by Innovate UK to help businesses to improve competitiveness and productivity through better use of knowledge, tech and skills from the UK knowledge base. Email partnerships@bath.ac.uk if you are interested in a KTP.

The SETsquared Partnership has a £2 million programme called IKEEP (Intrapreneurial Knowledge Exchange Enterprise Pathway), to boost industry by enabling skilled students to take up industry placements and foster growth and development. See examples from the 1,000 students who have worked on a 'real-world' innovative idea or project.

We are part of the SETsquared partnership and can support you through our programmes:
- West of England Sustainable Technologies Scale-Up Programme for business growth of low carbon technologies.
